We specialise in learner driving lessons in Adelaide and helping new learner drivers develop good motoring skills and in preparing them for a lifelong safe driving career.
We strongly recommend that new learners have professional instruction early in the learning stage of their driving career. Our instructors teach sound defensive driving skills from lesson one and welcome parent involvement during the learning process.
To progress to a provisional licence the learner must either complete the Competency Based Training course (CBT) or successfully pass a Vehicle On Road Test (VORT).
The CBT program is a comprehensive training package designed to develop in the learner all the driving skills they will need from the basic principles of vehicle control and road skills right through to the more advanced traffic management skills.
The program consists of a series of competencies (tasks) which, when correctly demonstrated by the learner, can be assessed and signed off by one of our qualified instructors. Much of the stress associated with a conventional driving test is removed by working through these various tasks.
The real benefit of completing the CBT is that the learner is working with a professional instructor, in conjunction with their parent/supervisor, and is therefore developing and honing their driving skills.
The learner does not need to complete the CBT program and can opt to sit a VORT if they feel they have the skills to pass the test.
It is important that they understand the standard of competency they will have to attain to pass the test and we suggest they have some tuition first. We have the experience to appraise their driving skills and prepare them to pass the test.
