Frequently asked questions
Should I do a VORT or the CBT
It's really your choice whether to do the VORT
or CBT. We can help make your decision easier, but we would need to see how well you are currently driving. It all depends on how many hours you have already clocked up and on the quality of the practise you have had so far.
The CBT program is a comprehensive training package designed to develop all the driving skills needed -from the basic principles of vehicle control and road skills right through to the more advanced traffic management skills.
Should I complete my 75 hours before taking professional lessons?
It is a good idea to have professional Driving lessons
as early as possible once you have your learner's permit. We would like to explain assessment standards and help you establish sound driving habits right from the start. This not only helps you attain a driver's licence faster, but also prepares you for a lifelong safe driving career.
How many lessons will I need?
It is difficult to put a set number on the lessons different individuals may need. We will evaluate you and recommend a specific amount of lessons needed for your skill level. These sessions will help you successfully attain your licence and learn strategies to keep yourself and everyone else safe.
How often should I have lessons?
We recommend an initial batch of lessons to get you started along the path to good safe driving. Remember that learning to drive isn't just about clocking up the necessary hours. Quality driving involves the ability to accurately assess and anticipate traffic situations as well as handling the vehicle competently through various slow speed manoeuvres. These skills need to be well-taught and practiced. It is a good idea to maintain regular lessons while getting as much practice as possible.
